Nice Place, Your Majesty!

In case you are not sure, just thought I would let you in on a lil breakdown of the Spanish government.

Spain is a constitional monarchy with a parliamentary form of government:

The King, Juan CarlosI, is head of state and controls armed forces.

The Prime Minister, or President, is proposed by the king and elected by legislature. Right now that is José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. He is the head of government, and works with the Council of Ministers, or Cabinet. Together they are the executive branch.

What would be our congress, legislative branch, is called the Cortes Generales, which is split into two branches like ours.

Of course they have a supreme court and all that jazz too.

Click HERE to learn more, but that was enough for me!
