A Letter from Moo:

Lancelot here:
I am getting a new playmate!!!!
~
Yesterday, mama's birthday, daddy finally told her he has decided YES on getting a new kitty! AND it is Pet Adoption month! How cool is that?
~
Today, the pawrents came home covered in black fur and smelling like all sorts of kitties.
~
Right now it is between 2 Very Different cats: Chui is about 2 years old. He is all black with big light green eyes. His face is very angular (closer to a siamese face), and he is very lanky with looooong legs and a looooong tail. He walks like panther, but his purrrsonality was definately goofy. That won mama over. He rubbed on her and purred. Then mama picked up a piece of string and he grabbed it and ran off with it to put it in his food bowl then in his bed (OMC!!!! I DO THAT!!!!!), and mama said he was definately the one.
~
But daddy had already fallen for a female 3 yr old. Her name is Nellie. She is black with 2 big white spots on her tummy. She is very tiny. She is built very petite and she has a tiny round head. Her fur is the kind with the extra fur underneath, so mama knows that means with good food and a happy home, her coat will be very soft and beautiful. She was not as interested in playing. She just wanted to love and love. She purred and flopped over and let daddy rub her belly (he loved that!) and she even came up to mama's face and touched noses (something I was told would probably not happen when you just meet a kitty in a shelter).
~
Both of them are purrty vocal, which mama likes. Chui is all play. Daddy came in and he started biting his shoelaces. When daddy started playing string with him, he did not want to stop. Nellie is all love. You really feel how sweet she is and much more relaxed.

WHAT TO DO??????
~
Daddy says Nellie is a better fit for me, because I may think of her as less threatening (being so tiny, female, and docile). Mama is afraid she may not want to play with me as much as Chui. She can imagine me and Chui running after eachother all over the house. That's what she really was looking for in a kitty: a playmate for me. Plus, he seemed to have tons of silly purrsonality like me. But mama is worried that he may be too much like me, and we may butt heads.
~
The shelter lets you take a kitty for 2 weeks, then they check up on you, and if you still want the kitty, THEN you sign papers and stuff. But it would be best if we get the right kitty the furst time.

You can see pictures of them at the shelter's website HERE.
